ASTM A537 standard refers to pressure vessel coils, material in heat-treated, carbon-manganese silicon steel. Based on different strength and heat treatment, it ranges to Class 1, 2 and 3. ASTM A537 Class 1 coils are supplied in the normalised condition whilst Class 2 coils are quenched and tempered.
ASTM A633 is a high-strength / low alloy grade produced in the normalized condition. It is predominantly used in environments where superior notch toughness is needed at low ambient temperatures. Grades are divided into A, C, D, E.
310S stainless steel sheets is similar to stainless steel 310 apart from a lower content of carbon that reduces carbideprecipitation and enhances weldability. The soaring nickel and chromium contents of ss 310s plates offer similar corrosionresistance, higher resistance to oxidation and the holding of a superior portion of room temp potency than the usual austeniticsteel such as S304.
PPGI coil is a highly popular material used for roofing sheets, wall panels, furniture, home appliances, automobile components, and more. It keeps the strength of galvanized steel, while its organic coating offers various colors and an attractive appearance.
Grade 304 is the most commonly used stainless steel. It is an austenitic, corrosion-resistant steel with excellent strength, toughness, fabrication characteristics and weldability. The low carbon version, 304L, may be required for full corrosion resistance when thicker sections are welded.
A588 Low Alloy Structural Steel Coil
ASTM A588 is a high strength low-alloy structural steel specification with higher strength and improved atmospheric corrosion resistance. It covers Grade A, Grade B, and Grade K. Grade A, B is the specification for atmospheric corrosion structural steel of High-Strength Low-Alloy, yield strength minimum 50 ksi 345 Mpa.
Z120 is the coating name, which means that the coating thickness on both sides is approximately 120g/㎡ or 36g/㎡ (three-point test) and 90g/㎡ (single-point test).
Z120 grade galvanized steel coil is coated with zinc to make it more durable. The working principle of the process is to immerse the coiled steel plate in a galvanizing tank filled with molten zinc. Through the continuous galvanizing process of the thin steel sheet, the galvanized coil is obtained. This type of steel has better formability and good paint adhesion in commercial or architectural use. Another method of producing galvanized steel sheet is through a hot-dip plating process. In this method, it is essential that the steel sheet is heat-treated at 500°C immediately after the exit of the can to form the alloy film coating.
Stainless Steel 317 and 317L are molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steels. Due to the molybdenum content of 3-4% 317 and 317L are more resistant to general corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion than type 304. 317 and 317L are used in the Food, Pharmaceutical, Marine and Architecture industries.
The galvanized steel coil Z275 is a double-sided galvanized carbon steel sheet. This is produced by a metal coating process that passes cold rolled coils through a bath filled with molten zinc. This continuous hot-dip plating or also known as electro-galvanizing is the main process that these carbon steel sheets must go through to produce coils and galvanized sheets. The process consists of applying zinc by electrolytic treatment. After the sheet is subjected to this treatment, a layer of zinc is adhered to the base metal through the iron and zinc bonding layer.
904L is a stainless steel alloy that displays high resistance to corrosion, particularly against acidic environments. Therefore, 904L isapproved for use in acid production and concentration, along with the transport of such substances.
With excellent weldability and formability 904L also maintain non- magnetic state in all conditions.
904L provides excellent toughness , even down to cryogenic temperatures with its austenitic structure.
